There it was...waiting for me to find it!
Silent...yet screaming loudly...brimming with riches and filled with jewels
like a treasure chest sparkling with shiny diamonds.
There it was...waiting to be touched...to be opened...to be eaten!
My eyes catch a glance of it and I think - could it really be?
The price tag reads $1.00 and upon closer inspection I see it is brand-
new,cellophane-wrapped and beautifully boxed.
I touch it...feeling great excitement as i realize it is the real thing!!!
I take a deep breath.It's leather!dark blue leather;heavy and wonderful.
I pay the woman with a shiny loonie and a smile on my face as I thank
her profusely and return to my car.
And so it was that I brought home with me in the summer of 2008 a
BIBLE - a New International Version bible.
From a garage sale.Only in Canada.
